Hi, I have been suffering from a sort of burning tip of my tongue and a little uncomfortable sensation in my mouth. Sometimes, depending on what i have eaten or drunk i get a blackish/deep red spot on the side of my tongue and lots of little dots near the tip of my tongue. These do not ooze, scab or ache but just appear. 

I also have white dots on my lip (top) which look like Fordyce and my bottom lip also seems to be constantly chapped and peeling in places. 

My nose had also become itchy and greasy and sometimes red patches appear on my face, near my eyebrows. 

Has anyone had anything like this happen to them, is it and allergy or something more sinister, I have seen several sexual health consultants and GPs and they cant see anything wrong, but to me it certainly is. 

I am extremely stressed so perhaps this is making it worse. 

I hope someone can help me.

YES 

I've been experiencing much of this same thing for over a year. My top lip developed the white bumps and now it always feels chapped. My nose is always itchy, and I've developed a permanent red, itchy spot at the entrance to a nostril. The burning tongue used to be an issue for me, but hasn't been for months.

I can't explain it either and neither can a host of doctors. They say it's not herpes.

Why do you think yours is herpes related?

      My girlfriend keeps saying she wants to do oral on me and "swallow".  I know for vaginal sex definitely we'd have to use a condom, but not sure for oral. I know HSV2 prefers the genital area.  Would it be better for her to just use her hands to avoid the extended oral contact and then just "finish" in her mouth? The "swallowing" thing apparently is important to her because she's persistent with it. So is it in semen? Having the green light to just "do it" sounds to good to be true. So I'd like to know how to do this safely. Thank you. (I was diagnosed more than 10 years ago and I'm asymptomatic)

      Hey guys. I was just diagnosed with genital herpes after a visual examination. I've had all the possible symptoms - fever, chills, aches, sore throat, bumps on vaginal area and discomfort when peeing. I'm waiting to find out what strain I have and I have so many questions/am just feeling so terrible so would appreciate any help. 
      1: Does it really matter which strain you have? Should you still disclose this diagnosis to potential future partners? 
      2: Has anyone noticed small bumps on their fingers from the infection? Are these contagious? I have small bumps on one finger that haven't broken but are uncomfortable when touched. 
      3: Is it possible to have infection in both the mouth and genital area at one time? Most of the stuff I've read has said if you have bumps on the vagina then it's genital herpes but my throat is so sore and seems to have bumps way at the back - no sores yet. 
      4: Linked to Q.3, if I have genital herpes can I spread infection by kissing alone?

      I had sex with a girl I didint know very well and woke up with 2 medium size bumps the next day idk if it’s herpes or not thinking about getting tested it’s been 3 days .

      hello,
      i was here in june with what I thought was maybe an oral ob.  At that point it had been post exposure by 4 months and i ended up testing neg 1&2 igg.  i just tested again and was neg for both, no new contact. 
      Monday night my nose all of a sudden became EXTREMELY itchy in just one nostril.  the next morning and day all of these white bumps popped up all over it.  I put abreva all in my nose.  this morning i woke up and it was irritated but all the white bumps were gone.  I calmed down but then i just looked and it looks like there's little erosions inside my nose now.  The dr refuses to swab.  Does this look like herpes?  I'm attaching pics of my nose with the blisters and with the erosions, I circled the erosions.  Also including a pic of my lip from june for reference. 
       
      Sorry for the image quality of my nose, one is scarily detailed and the one of the bumps is very blurry.  hard to get a good nostril shot as it turns out
      maybe i have a false neg hsv1 test result?
      Feeling so defeated it is frustrating to not know what is going on and i feel humiliated by the drs who think i am being crazy for suggesting herpes.

      I have oral and genital HSV1, diagnosed a little over a year ago. I am wondering, does anyone else get oral outbreaks that are primarily inside your mouth and not on your lips? When I get oral outbreaks, mine usually don't come with cold sores around my lips. The sores are only inside my mouth, usually on my gums, and they're pretty painful and annoying, as they get in the way of eating and brushing my teeth. This doesn't seem like a super common presentation of HSV1 because I can't find a ton of info about it online, but I know I'm not the only person whose oral HSV presents this way and I know they're not canker sores. I was wondering if anyone else experiences this and has any tips on how they deal with it. In particular, would love to know if anyone has any good tips for something that reduces the pain while you're waiting for the Valtrex to do its thing
