Hey @Aubrey77 these symptoms are not something that oral HSV-1 can cause. In the end herpes would do what it does best and this is cause a sore somewhere on the lips . It might tingle a little as it forms, be inconvenient as it blisters and then crust as it heals and all look a little unsightly. But that’s herpes.    No reason to disbelieve your doctors thoughts on your issues.

Any feed back is welcome. I get these small bumps inside my right cheek. They do not hurt or burst. They just come and go. I showed them to doctors and the say they come up with stress and foods. Problem is I have pain and muscle spasms down right arm and in legs. Are these all ongoing issues for getting virus? I am not sure was going on with my body anymore

Update: met with PCP Friday to get a referral to neurologist. During the discussion he discussed my low white blood cell count from a test I took in February. My count is/was 3.61. I asked him if that could be contributing to slow development of antibodies. He didn’t really react to it much. With that said, I did take another IGG test Friday which came back negative. I’m at week 12 post suppressive therapy and week 14 total without taking AVs. I emailed Terri Warren to see if she feels I need to wait longer to take the western blot to allow my WBC to increase and/or allow antibodies to develop. I want to use the WB as the final step in my testing journey and I don’t want to have to question the results.    Anyone have any experience or knowledge of someone with low/lower WBC and how long it took them to seroconvert?

Red marks on shaft

Recommended Posts

John121

Hi. Am just wondering if I could get some advice. About a week ago I have notice these small painless smooth red marks on the shaft of my penis, they are spread out and not in a cluster, could this be herpes or some other std?  And i have notice recently now that I have some sort of dry skin/broken skin around the lesions. I have also notice some shiny tint to the red marks if I put light to it.  I do not have any liquid coming from the lesions and not giving me no pain.

I will be going to a clinic in a few days just to make sure.

Thank you

Hey @John121 what you describe doesn't really align with any particular STD/STI.

A key place to start is if this is related to herpes for example, there would have been a source in the days before the marks appeared. Were there sexual encounters of concern about that time?

Yes, i have been with my partner for 6 years now. We broke up Last year March then we recently got back to together in December. Within that time we wasn't together  I started to see someone knew around june/July for a few months. I did take a wee sample test when I was with the new girl just for precaution as you do and everything came back fine but I didn't take a screening

If there have been no symptoms until now then the other girl is not really an issue in terms of herpes. If this is herpes and that seems unlikely then it will have come from your current partner.

If they are bright shiny red spots when you masturbate and pinkish when not engorged. -My guess is what my bf had and it was diagnosed as fungus which can be bacterial or fungal.

He took 1-2t black seed oil orally, I think he took it 10 days. I would have to ask him if he put it on topically with a carrier oil. We used cold pressed organic raw. Iherbs would have the best price. warning it doesn't taste good. Tastes like strong oregano oil. Eat a snack while taking it, or a meal. As a female I also take it for bacterial challenges.

beware of which oils you use, make sure you add coconut oil as a carrier unless you have used it before.

see a doctor

ETA: doc gave him an antifungal like they use for jock itch, it didn't work. He finally got rid of it with black seed oil.

Thank you for taking the time to get back to me.  I did managed to buy some tea tree oil today so I hope that works well. If I don't see a improvement within a week or so I will try take the remedies you have mentioned above. I don't really want to risk going to any doctors, gum clinic at this moment in time with the covid19 situation but if I don't see a improvement within a few weeks or so I'll have no choice but to go.

Thank you
