@whereismyanswer for sure, it is extremely frustrating. You will need to backtrack though in order to come forward. Hopefully a specialist will swab the lesions and look for what is present (including HSV, bacteria etc.). If it is HSV then there will testing as to why antivirals are not working, that may lead to additional treatment such as for your thyroid etc.  It is a bit of a journey, but approach it fresh and keep moving through!

not trying to be rude. just forever frustrated with the burning and blisters on my lips that don't go away

I've had this reoccurring monthly for 3+ years though. Do you really think this is something a dermatologist can have an answer to?

3 prunes every morning and a sitz bath twice a day. 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes at night. You can add epsom salts to it if you want though just warm water is effective.

Just because you have HSV-1 doesn't mean everything that happens on your lips is related to HSV. It does seem like a dermatologist would be a good move if your doctor is not thinking broadly enough.

This is great news.
This is my 3rd-place vaccine in terms how optimistic I am that it will end up being produced. First place is the Penn State trivalent vaccine,. Second place is the X-Vax initiative.

This would just mean they are starting their Phase 1 clinical trial correct ? Not even close to be released on the market. Correct ?

This news article is over a year old.  In that time Rational Vaccines has made practically no progress in this front.  Between the lawsuits they are facing and the self inflicted black eye of running an non-FDA sanctioned trial it's very unlikely we will see any sort of vaccine trial by this company in the next year.

Not hopeful on this. I’m not aware of this company doing any peer reviewed work or published animal studies.

They only have a website with no content.

Well let’s try to look at the positive side of things with a glass half full.

What published and peer reviewed studies are you aware for treatments that we can get behind and follow/support more closely?

I feel like there are many other vaccines to keep an eye on, that are in development and in trial.
