Could this be herpes (GHSV1)

Recommended Posts

Hi so I have had cold sores before so I know I am a carrier of the HSV1 virus but I have only ever hand a couple outbreaks in my oral region. Recently I have been really stressed about having genital hsv1 due to more and more people in my community having it. I know having oral hsv1 can build immunity to genital hsv1 but I am unsure how long I have had hsv1 orally or if I had acquired the virus on both regions of my body at the same time. A couple days ago I noticed a painless bump on the left hand side of my public region. After shaving I had cut the bump and it seemed to get somewhat infected an hurt a lot. I noticed hairs sticking out of the bump so i decided to pluck them hoping it was only an ingrown hair. While I was inspecting the region I also had notice a small white raised bump on the other side of my pelvis as well. It also seemed like it could have been an ingrown hair so I plucked any and all hair surrounding the bump. The tiny red dots within the bumps are where I had plucked the hairs. They don't hurt unless i clean or pick them but I am nervous and would love any input. If the bumps get worse I will go to the doctor i'm just looking for some help super nervous.

I just saw this article too. Any new news on it in the last few months?

Hey @Amnprsc I wouldn’t do anything too dramatic. Can you seek medical advice on what’s going on. Thats not likely to be related to herpes.

As per title I got 4-5 tiny warts in pube area from leftover outbreaks, how to get rid off of them?    Is it a a bad idea to use a nailcutter and suffer through it? 😄   Or is there some oil/cream that I could use?

This is ridiculous I have been trying to delete my account for weeks. I have sent emails to honeycomb support and have not received an email back. Why is there no "delete account" option under our settings tab? It shouldn't be this hard.

the first & 3rd picture represent lesion in its current state, the pictures of more shine/redness represent use of ketaconazole ointment for fungal suspicion, otherwise lesion is dry, in fold of penis skin & painless, bloodless, no pimple like appearance, or  bumps! Just a flat and once flaky splotch that when skin unfolds comes together as a roundish splotch.   I am sorry about the size, & now lack of quality in pictures. I used an app to reduce their size & am really bad at using technology. I am mostly perplexed about the use or lack of need to use valtrex & the appearance single  lesion and any input knowledgeable users may have of its appearance. Thanks again for any input.
