Cheaper Amenalief source

I have an acyclovir resistant stain of HSV-2 and constant outbreaks for years. Have tried it all and been thru absolute hell.

I finally took a chance and ordered Amenalief from Japan. I am so happy, ecstatic, because IT WORKS! I have relief for the first time. My problem is it costs $550 a week (prophylactic) and is still way too costly even if I spread pills out. Bionet and Mimaki both sell it for the bargain price of $550  for 14 pills.

Anyone have a cheaper source? All India mart listings are a scam. Now that I found a release from this hell I can’t go back…

Amenalief has never been tested as a prophylactic. I'd be careful as there are side effects, notably "thrombocytopenia, gingival bleeding, and palpitations," from studies in japan. thrombcytopenia means low red blood cells. So i would be careful and use it to treat after an outbreak. There is a new drug on the horizon called IM-250 and that could be a game changer. but it hasn't even started phase I trials yet, so it will be awhile. Its made in germany.

Do we know how much Anemalief is needed to reach maximum effectiveness?

My primary concern is in reducing transmission, so maybe it could just be used on certain days prior to intercourse? I'm not sure what dosage/time frame would be required for that though.

Is Amenalief safe to use daily as a suppressive?

actually, i read the excellent posts by Destroyhsv and he's had great luck as a prophylactic at 100mg along with valacyclovir, so that is great news.

The Mimaki homepage is not active anymore? I just found it on biojapan, but I am uncertain, if this is a fake homepage??? Anyone Who ordered it from Japan very recently and would help me? Thank you very much in advance, Vivi

hi Vivi, I have no info on Amenalief. Google foscarnet. Maybe this is something for you. I must add I have absolutely no knowledge, this is something I came across on google. Seems it is used when the virus is resistant to acyclovir.

I don’t have any info on Amenalief, but am hopeful you find some. In the meantime, you might consider investigating Tagamet (an old drug with many interactions with other medications). I wasn’t able to use it because of other medications i take :/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9273526/

I have not found a cheaper source for Amenalief, and I've searched high and low. I have a thread called "Pritelivir at Last" you may want to follow as I have a strong belief that It may be available to the public in the summer of 2024 and as I find new info, I update the thread immediately. Now, may I suggest a combination of drugs that several others on this forum have found to be very effective over acyclovir alone? Myself and others have found that taking 40mg of omeprazole (Tagamet @dissolvedo2 ) with 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the morning and 1 gram of Valacyclovir in the evening alone for 3 days have had profound effectiveness at stopping outbreaks in their tracks. I'd like to remind you that I am not a doctor and at best I am personal researcher for what works for me. I @lw@ys share my findings with the forum in the hopes to help others alleviate their suffering. There is another drug combo that I have tried myself as well as others on this forum have tried and that I personally feel is a much more effective for myself. This combo is 1 gram of activated charcoal with 1-gram of valacyclovir in the morning followed by 1 gram of valacyclovir in the evening alone, again for 3 days. I have found that this has reduced my outbreaks to almost only once a year and they are mild at worse. Again, just a reminder that this works for me and may not work for you but I always feel that i have to share this with anyone that cannot get this virus under control so I hope my findings can help those of you who cannot achieve relief with the standard treatment alone. The stronger anti-virals come with risks and if I can help anyone avoid those risks then by all means I feel I have done some good in this world. I only ask that you let me know if either of these suggestions work for you so that I can document it in my notes. Good luck my friend!

Was it determined what you had was contagious? Most likely developed a fungal disease and caused her a yeast or uti
