IS IT HERPES?

The tip of my penis is usually enflamed and flares up in the morning and when I have an erection. It doesn't look like much, but when I further inspect it, I can tell is one flesh-raised bumped. Does this sounds like herpes?

Also, on my shaft, it seems I have a small cut or opening, I read that herpes can leave small slits or tiny cuts in the skin...is this true?

Flesh-raised bump? What do you mean? like a blister, pimple... or the skin doesn't look at all damaged, just raised up a little?

I've never experience an outbreak that could remotely be classified as tiny cuts of small slits...

I have heard one or two people on this board, and I think they were both women say that their 'oubreak' manifested itself as small slits or cuts.

But I think that's cause the tissue on a woman on the inside of her labia is different.

An your dick, I think you would see either a blister, or an open sore that looked like it had been a blister before the blister broke.

I'm just guessing from the vague description, but you might have a chancre (syphilis)

Again, just running thru all the things I can think off...
