Waxing

Just wondering if anybody has waxed the genital area after been diagnosed with herpes type II in the genital area. If anybody uses this method for pubic hair removal, did you have any problems after? Or, what about shaving or are there any creams that can be used in that area?

Hi -

I shave - stay away from any areas if I think an outbreak is even on the way. Use a seperate razor for the area - wash with soap & water before after (skin & razor) But in my opinion, keeping the area hair-free helps avoid irritation, and an outbreak, and helps the OB heal - being exposed and clean. That's just me.

I'm not sure about waxing - the heat & pulling..... I don't know...
